Trivia Night 2009
2009 NFC TRIVIA NIGHT-A
resounding success!!!
Our major fund raising event of the year has come and gone... and it was a
huge night of fun and games!! Although a sponsor table had to pull out at
the last minute due to the flu ripping apart their office the day before,
there was still a healthy turn-out of 140+ that joined in the fun.
The NFC Committee would like to make special mention and thank the
following;
-All players and partners/friends etc that came along and
made the night what it was!
-Our major sponsor Ruiz Constructions for helping to make
the night possible and for donating two very special bottles of family wine
that hold due sentimental value!
-Other sponsors that came on the night including;
1800 TAP FIX ,
Cory McPherson from Richard Luton Properties (donated 3
bottles of Moet Chandon champagne and conducted a very professional
auction),
Rowan Woodward and the gang from The Home Loan
Centre who generously donated; not only x2 $100 shopping gift
vouchers but also part of the Major Prize which was 12 Official
Commemorative 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games relay batons! This was a
huge prize and greatly appreciated by the winning team!
-Other sponsors that generously donated prizes on the night, without these
greatly appreciated contributions, the night would not be the same;
Tony Romero from Legends Spanish
Restaurant in Manuka (one of our club's best and longest time
supporters) for donating not just one, but two fantastic dinner vouchers to
the value of $175!!! Please note that Tony will soon be opening a special
new Tapas and Wine Bar in Manuka, directly below Legends
within the venue previously known as Minque.

Absolutely everyone for attending and helping to make the
night a very successful event!!! Your support is really genuinely and

Special mention must also go to Alan McDonald from
Macka's Griffith Newsagency. Alan arranged the newspaper
giveaways and the hilarious round of questions from the Sydney Morning
Herald that had team members furiously rummaging around through their
newspapers for answers. Alan also generously donated his time in assisting
the committee members by being chief judge and marker on the night. Thanks
Alan!!!
Congratulations to the winning table.
